iKON (which in Korean is written as 아이콘) is one of YG Entertainment's boyband groups which consists of 7 members, 7 members of iKON, Kim Jin-hwan (김진환), Song Yun-hyeong (Hangul: 송윤형) , Kim Ji-won (Hangul: 김지원), Kim Han-bin (Hangul: 김한빈), Kim Dong-hyuk (Hangul: 김동혁), Koo Jun-hoe (Hangul: 구준회), and Jung Chan-woo (Hangul: 정찬우 ) This iKON member has been famous since they haven't debuted with iKON and that's why this group managed to get famous and have a lot of fans even though they haven't debuted yet. iKON debuted in 2015 precisely on the 15th of September 2015 with a song carrying a song called My Type, after the debut of iKON I was able to perform live the following month, which was on October 4 2015 where iKON performed live on SBS Inkigayo.

The beginning of iKON
In 2013, YG Entertainment announced that it would debut a new boy band group, Team A and Team B who are YG trainees must compete in a program entitled WIN: Who Is Next, the WIN event is a competition event in which Team A and Team B will compete to become The winner and winner of the event will be debuted by YG, Team B in the event must accept defeat because they get fewer voting results than Team A, Team A as the champion is immediately debuted by YG who is now WINNER, while Team B loses in the competition the formation must be pierced again.
In 2014, YG Entertainment announced that they would debut a new boy band group, the new group was called iKON, the name iKON was obtained by YG from the word Icon where the letter c from the icon was replaced by K which means Korea, so iKON was chosen by YG with the intention that this group can be global and become an icon for Korea, iKON will be debuted with 7 members in it, and YG can only determine 3 members into this iKON group, namely BI, Bobby, and Jinhwan who previously appeared as Team B in the WIN event . YG also again held a competition entitled Mix & Match which in this program there were 6 YG trainees who would be chosen only 4 to become members of iKON. 3 trainees who took part in this competition were Team B members who had participated in the WIN event, while the other 3 were YG trainees who had not been introduced before.
iKON finally got all its members, the six members were Team B members who had joined WIN, namely B.I, Bobby, Jinhwan, Yunhyeong, Junhoe and Donghyuk, while another YG trainee won the competition, namely Chanwoo. YG chose B.I as the leader of this Group. B.I before joining YG, he had collaborated with a famous singer, MC Mong, where B.I collaborated with MC Mong on the song entitled Indian Boy, B.I also appeared in the video clip of the song. B.I was the first YG member to other iKON members, after B.I was followed by an older Jinhwan, then Bobby who also entered YG trainees, the three of them became close after often practicing together.
While still in training, BI really likes and often writes and composes songs which he prepares for his group later, Bobby also writes songs often even though not as much as BI does, seeing what BI is doing, YG CEO has said that the song stock owned by BI it's very much a group now, iKON will never run out of songs. BI and Bobby were very good at making songs, even though their Team lost in the WIN event but it did not make BI and Bobby's enthusiasm go down, after that defeat BI and Bobby composed a song which was then given to WINNER (Team A who won the WIN event), the BI composition song and Bobby was titled Empty sung by WINNER, this song also managed to occupy the top position on several charts.
After losing to Team A, Team B again became a YG training student, BI and Bobby had a chance to take part in an event entitled Show Me The Money 3, which was the event where Bobby won the competition, when competing Bobby released several songs that turned out successfully favored many people and topped several charts, the solo song Bobby delivered at the event was titled L4L (Lookin 'For Luv), 연결 고리 # 힙합 (YGGR # hiphop), 가 (GO) and 가드 올리고 Bounce ( Raise Your Guard and Bounce)
Junhoe, who was also a member of Team B, before joining YG had also appeared on an SBS Star King program which in the event Junhoe displayed his dancing skills by dancing to Michael Jackson. In addition, Junhoe was also known to have participated in a talent search event in 2011, SBS K-pop Star.
